Thai Monthong Durian

Monthong durian is Thailand’s most popular variety, highly demanded both domestically and internationally. Its flesh is pale yellow, fine-textured, thick, dry, and abundant. The taste is sweet and creamy with a mild fragrance. Distinctive features include a thin shell, large and well-defined segments—especially the “main lobe”—and small spines called “snake fangs” between the larger ones. The tree has strong branches growing perpendicular to the trunk, is durable, easy to cultivate, yields abundantly, and is widely favored in global markets.
