Historic Deal: Acquisition of Arconic in China Yong Jie New Material [SHA: 603271] has shaken the global aluminum industry with its acquisition of Arconic’s plants in Qinhuangdao (100%) and Kunshan (95%) for over USD 180 million. Arconic U.S. retains a minority 5% stake in Kunshan.

The immediate result: production capacity surged from 485,000 tons to 735,000 tons, backed by world-class technology from Alcoa, propelling Yong Jie into the high-end aluminum market.
